Denver, Colorado

We left from Virginia and headed for Colorado. This was by far our favorite convention and we had a wonderful time not only meeting new people, but catching up with several of Justin's friends that he had not seen for quite some time. After the convention was over we spent a few days with my good friend Elisabeth and her family. We had a great time visiting with them!

Elisabeth and her brothers took us to see the Red Rock Amphitheater. Justin and Andrew had to check out some of the rocks :-)

Justin and the guys :-D

Trying out the cowboy hats, well... everyone but Andrew. He liked the train conductor hat better!

We just had to laugh because almost every one of our pictures together are pictures of us eating! I guess that is why we thought we needed this other picture :-(

After spending a wonderful few days with the Tijerina family Justin and I spent our last day driving up to Mount Evans. The road up to Mount Evans is the highest paved road in North America. You can drive to over 14,000 feet! I have to admit that it was rather scary driving up to the top. Pictures just can't capture how sheer the drop-offs were along the road, but it was pretty amazing. The view was absolutely spectacular!

Here we are at the top of the mountain.

We even saw some mountain goats on the way up!

My post wouldn't be complete without a picture of my man in his rental car. He thought it was pretty cool!
