Orlando, Florida

Last week Justin and I made a business trip to Florida. Other than work we also had a few days to enjoy what we thought was going to be sunny Florida :-) As it turned out, supposedly we got more rain during our first few days there than during Florida's three largest hurricanes combined! We had 15 inches of rain in three days and it still continues to rain. The day we arrived and the day we left were sunny so we thoroughly enjoyed what sun we had. Even though it was quite wet we still had a marvelous time together and felt like we were on a second honeymoon!

This was our adorable little rental car! I have always wanted a lime green bug and Justin was so tickled when he was able to get it for us :-)

Seaworld in the rain :-D

The dolphin show was our absolute favorite!

This is the car for the Boston Lobster restuarant. I just happened to notice it as we were driving by one evening and my wonderful husband graciously pulled over so that he could take my picture. Can you imagine driving this thing?!!

One evening Justin took me to a medival dinner show. I had never been to something like it before, but had always wanted to try one. We were given our black and white crowns and seated in the black and white section so that we could cheer for our knight while he fought against the evil green night. It was a lot of fun.

That's right...no utensils! We were served chicken, a baked potato, soup, and garlic bread which we had to eat with our hands just like Robin Hood!

Need I say more? :-)

TeenPact!

(Yes, I know that this is a little late!) We had a fantastic week with the TeenPact students and were really blessed to see how the Lord worked out all of the details. The staff did a great job and once again we thoroughly enjoyed the time of learning, working, and fellowshipping with the whole group. I can't wait 'till next year!

Here are a few fun pictures from the week.

This is Justin playing the governor in a skit.

Justin was accompanied by several bodyguards, one of whom was my brother Caleb (right) who staffed for the class that week. (Gotta love the sideburns!)

The legislature was not in session that week, much to our disappointment, but it worked out that the students were able to have one of their sessions in the House chamber!

TeenPact Legislature

On Wednesday we attended the public hearing for a bill legalizing same-sex marriage. Sadly the bill passed.

Katie, Tim, Paige, and Caleb (four of our awesome Teenpact staff!)

This picture really gave us a good laugh :-)

Caleb is getting ready to introduce our first speaker, Pastor Bob Emrich. He is the founder of the Maine Jeremiah Project which is a grassroots coalition of social conservatives and christians who are committed to “Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you…and pray to the Lord on its behalf…........” Jeremiah 29:7

Yes, that is my sister Hannah on the right. She attended the four day class for the first time this year.

Of course TeenPact is about learning, but we also have a lot of fun! The main game is Ultimate Frisbee!

We eat lots of good food...

... and enjoy a time of devotions and singing in the evenings.

All in all it was a wonderful week! Right Justin? :-)

Many changes for the Horsman Family!

Wow, I am amazed at all that the Lord has done in one year! My mother and father in-law are experiencing quite a few changes. My sister in-law just got engaged last night so they will now have two children married and one grandchild born all in one year! It is exciting see the family grow!

Congratulations Jarrod and Christy!

Baby Update!

I am now 15 1/2 weeks along and praise the Lord the morning sickness is almost all gone!!! I still feel queasy in the evenings, but otherwise I am doing really well. Our first appointment with the midwife will be on the 13th. I can't wait to hear our little baby's heartbeat! We were supposed to meet with the midwife last week but she had to go to a birth and since babies that are ready to be born don't usually wait for other people we thought we had better reschedule and let her go to the birth! :-) We are actually using the same midwife that my mom has used for several of my siblings and she has become a friend of the family. It will be quite different going for myself and not just accompanying my mom on one of her appointments! Ellie is a wonderful midwife who has been practicing for 25 years so we are really excited about working with her. Please be in prayer that we will have opportunities to witness to her.

Our baby is about the size of an apple. He/she weighs 2 1/2 - 3 ounces and is almost 4 inches long from head to toe.

Easter Sunday

I know these pictures are a little late, but I just came across some shots from our afternoon spent with my parents on Easter Sunday and thought I would post them.

Doesn't my man look handsome?!!!

I love you Dad :-)

Having fun with my little brothers :-D

My wonderful parents

Poor Hannah is the only girl left at home now with both Leigha and I gone.

The guys goofing off!

I just love this picture of my little brother Levi, especially the shirt that is forever coming untucked!
